AED announced this week that it has named Gregory R. Niblett as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Niblett, who has 30 years of experience in the public, private, and non-profit sectors, previously served as senior vice president and director of the AED Social Change Group.

Stephen F. Moseley, who has served AED with distinction for the past 40 years (the last 23 as its President and Chief Executive Officer), will retire effective January 15, 2011. Moseley will assume the position of President Emeritus and remain available to advise the organization. George M. LASPAU: Academic and Professional Programs for the Americas has announced the selection of Peter DeShazo as its new Executive Director. DeShazo succeeds Ned Strong, who was recently appointed program director of Harvard University’s David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies Regional Office in Santiago, Chile. DeShazo will begin full time January 3, 2011, with LASPAU’s associate directors, Craig Hastings and Rodrigo DelaTorre, serving as interim directors until that time.
