On May 22, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released its Fiscal Year 2016 Entry/Exit Overstay Report that provides numbers and country-specific breakdowns for individuals who overstayed their U.S. visas during FY2016. The American Council on Education (ACE) released a new report, U.S.-Mexico Higher Education Engagement: Current Activities, Future Directions, assessing higher education ties between the two countries amidst a hectic political relationship. Administered by ACE’s Center for Internationalization and Global Engagement (CIGE), the report identifies strides in existing partnerships, while providing data-based recommendations for policy and practice to address ongoing challenges.

The Aspen Institute Stevens Initiative recently hosted the first Virtual Exchange Forum, an opportunity for the institute and other virtual exchange practitioners to come together and share the impact of virtual exchanges.
