Young Professionals of the Alliance (YPA) is a network of early career exchange professionals passionate about the field and looking to grow their networks, learn from their peers, and find community. Guided by a Steering Committee consisting of McCarry Leadership Award recipients, members attend monthly meetings to discuss key topics such as career growth, equity, diversity, inclusion, and access, and more.

  • Who can be a part of YPA? Any early career staff working for an Alliance Member or Supporter looking to grow in their work and connect with peers across the field.
  • Do individuals need to be nominated by their organization to be a part of YPA? No! Any staff member of an Alliance Member or Supporter organization is welcome to participate.
  • Is there a limit to the number of staff members from an organization that can participate? No! Any number of staff from any organization are welcome to participate.
  • What is the time commitment? Members are encouraged, but not required, to attend and suggest topic ideas and speakers for monthly meetings.
