Advocacy Day – March 5-6, 2025

• Advocacy Day is a distinct opportunity for Alliance members to come together and share with Members of Congress the value of international exchange in their respective districts and states. For more than 16 years, Alliance members have engaged their Senators, Representatives, and their staff members on behalf of international exchange.

Summer of Action – Summer 2025

• The Alliance will lead an initiative from Memorial Day through Labor Day to increase awareness and understanding of the benefits of international exchange programs on Americans and their local communities. This Summer of Action is an opportunity for all Alliance member organizations and fellow exchange champions to show Members of Congress and their local offices the ways in which educational and cultural exchanges make their states and districts stronger. 

Exchange Day – August 4, 2025

• Exchange Day is a nationwide celebration of the power of international exchange. International exchange participants will come together with their American hosts to “eat, play, and give” — to share American culture and customs, to give back to their communities, and to have some fun.

Annual Conference – October 14-15, 2025

• The Annual Conference is a platform for the international exchange community to engage in programmatic and policy discussions with representatives from key government agencies, including the U.S. Department of State. The Annual Conference is also an opportunity to connect with partners and to develop the strategies necessary to address the challenges and opportunities facing our community.

International Education Week – November 2025

• IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.
