International students contribute $30.5 billion to U.S. economy, create jobs for Americans

International students contributed $30.5 billion to the U.S. economy during the 2014-2015 academic year, according to new data compiled by NAFSA: Association of International Educators. This represents a nearly 14 per cent increase in economic contribution via living expenses, tuition, and fees in comparison to the previous year, NAFSA reports.

Alliance changes organizational name

We are very pleased to announce that the Alliance is three words and nine syllables lighter. After a vote of the full membership that concluded last week’s Membership Meeting, we are now the Alliance for International Exchange!

We will begin using our new name immediately, though we thank you for bearing with us as we go through the process of transitioning all of our materials to the new name. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to our continued work together as the Alliance for International Exchange!
